Programs, Services and Initiatives
In 2023, the San Diego ART Matters board and staff began a strategic planning process calling for deep internal dialogue and broad and external community conversation about the most pressing challenges facing San Diego’s creative sector. More than ever in the organization’s 34-year history, we recognized the need to move beyond a historic and narrow focus on the City of San Diego’s arts advocacy needs to embrace a larger agenda serving the entire San Diego region.
The outcome of the planning process resulted in the naming of four issue areas that will ground our organization’s programs, services, and initiatives minimally, over the next two years:
