In Community - County District 3
Friday, March 20, 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Free gathering connecting District 3 artists, cultural orgs & civic leaders—networking, updates & an artist showcase.
Join San Diego ART Matters and the San Diego County Arts & Culture Commission for the second stop of the In Community series — a countywide initiative designed to bring together artists, cultural organizations, and creative partners through welcoming gatherings filled with conversation, collaboration, and inspiration.
This District 3 gathering takes place at the Institute of Contemporary Art San Diego – North (Encinitas) on Friday, March 20, from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
The morning will be a fun, art-filled gathering designed to spark creativity and connection. Guests will have the opportunity to participate in a hands-on printmaking workshop with Campana Studios, enjoy guided exhibition tours of ICA San Diego, and explore the ICA Sculpture Trail and outdoor sculpture garden. Participants will also be among the first to experience Graft, a newly installed sculptural work by artist Edra Soto.
The program will include informal networking, a brief update on regional arts advocacy and resources, and an opportunity to meet Christine Jones, the County of San Diego’s new Manager of Art, Film and Creative Industries. Special thanks to the ICA San Diego team and volunteers, and to Campana Studios for helping host this event.
In Community is presented by San Diego ART Matters through its Local Arts Agency Learning Network, sponsored by the Prebys Foundation.
Admission is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be provided.
Come as you are. Bring a colleague or friend. Make new connections, share ideas, and spend a morning celebrating the creativity that makes San Diego County’s arts ecosystem thrive.
